Swhipy - 2 in 1 Music Player, Car Player, Equalizer app for iPhone and iPad

Glad I stumbled across this app, its actually super awesome great work.

Tried a few other app trials but the EQ on this app allows me the most control without distortion or clipping.

Best alternative to the IOS music player that I can find. Almost perfect.

Stopped working after updating to iOS 8. Please fix it!!! Best player.

Just downloaded this for the iPad 1 - it doesnt work! Wont even start up - crashes out on the startup screen.

This is an incredible music player. I have tried almost every 3rd-party music player for iOS (both paid and free), and this is definitely the best in most ways. However, there are a few major issues that make it a 1-star app for me. It looks and functions exactly like the built-in music player in iOS, which I find to be great because it’s a good interface. It also has many great features that the built-in app lacks: - 10-band customizable equalizer, so the audio can be customized just like in iTunes on a computer. It also has automatic gain control to adjust the preamp level to ensure that the music never clips if, for example, you increase the bass a lot. - Cover flow can be disabled. This is a big one for me and many others because I find that cover flow is a huge nuisance. In the past it always forced me to disable screen rotation throughout all of iOS just to make sure cover flow doesn’t show up when I tip my device ever so slightly. - Music can be loaded from sources other than iTunes - Song info, such as genre, track number, comments, etc can be viewed. It can also be edited if the song isn’t synced from iTunes. - Better control and features for creating and editing playlists than the built-in app - Screen dimming can be disabled when the device is charging and playing music - Has a “Car Mode”, which makes text large and easy to see at a glance in a car However, there are a few major issues with this app, which is why I am giving it 1 star. If it weren’t for these debilitating issues, this app would definitely get 5 stars and would be well worth the $3 price: - It doesn’t work in iOS 8. It will open and almost everything functions, but music will not play. - It is very slow. It takes a while to load each screen, go through playlists, etc. This also results in delayed reaction time to button presses. It is even slow on newer devices like the iPhone 5S. - It doesn’t run properly on older devices. For example, on my 4th-gen iPod Touch it will only play 2 or 3 songs in a row before it crashes or won’t play music anymore. Closing it and restarting always fixes this, but this is a huge inconvenience. - It doesn’t show playlists in folders. So, if you’re like me and you have a few hundred playlists organized very neatly into dozens of folders in iTunes, these playlists will show up in this app in a single list in alphabetical order. It seems that the developer hasn’t updated this app for a few years, so I’m not holding my breath that it will be fixed. But if it does then it would definitely be the best available.

After updating to iOS8, I can not play music. I want to improve as soon as possible.

One of my Favorite Apps is Car Tunes because it makes it so easy to use in the car but there where just a few things made difficult such as scrolling through a song. I got only slightly irritated one day with trying to get to a point in a song the other day so I thought I would look at alternative apps and found this….Wow does this app solve it. It took me a little bit to get used to the layout. its almost like dealing with a playstation layout with subfolders but the car interface is excellent for what you need. It will replace my iTunes player. Great Job guys. I love the tap and hold left and right thats PERFECT!!!

Great EQ gives you the tuning that you want and also is louder than the default music player that apple gives you. Wish apple would incorporate their EQ player like they have on the Mac book and iTunes Players on desktops but since they havent this is great and it also has a lot if other features that I like, like the visual equalizer so check thus one out its worth the money you want be disappointed really easy to use as well

Swhipy MP3 App: This app is by far the best music app that Apple has let produce. Has an amazing EQ and a cool car radio. Your music will sound like what your music should. It does look exactly like the default Apples iPod music app but 10X better. If u want good quality music but cant find a good music app be swhipy and get it its worth your 1.99 at the App Store!
